La Raza Historical Society is an avenue for the preservation of contributions made by La Raza community in the Santa Clara Valley from 1800s to present. We accomplish this by conducting oral and video interviews of significant individuals or groups, collecting and preserving historical material artifacts documenting La Raza, providing information and referral services at the Chiechi House and on the Internet about Raza history for individuals, children, youth, family and community members, educators and other professionals, and developing educational materials beginning with 4th grade California history and high school ethnic studies, highlighting La Raza's experiences, challenges and successes.
La Raza Historical Society of Santa Clara County’s digital collection at California Revealed consists of still images from the 1940s to the 1990s. These images depict individuals from the Latin American and Mexican American communities in and around San Jose, California with a focus on musicians and singers.
