The Coronado Historical Association was founded in 1969 to help people understand and appreciate Coronado’s unique history, art, architecture, and historical resources. We continually work toward these goals to bring the history of Coronado to the community. In our state-of-the-art collections vault, we are carefully preserving everything from 1880s newspapers to vintage garments and over 20,000 photographs. In our Museum, we bring Coronado’s history to life through fascinating exhibitions.
The Coronado Historical Association's digital collection at California Revealed consists of moving images and text materials from throughout the 20th century. The collection includes industrial films from local businesses, amateur films by groups like the Coronado Yacht Club, and scrapbooks assembled by families, school groups, and groups like the Coronado Women's Club.
