Mr. David owns and operates the David Candy Co. 10th & R St. Sacramento, Ca. He leased the land and grounds from 1957 to 1964. The last Solons game was June 1964. Cleveland Indians vs San Francisco Giants. Next day the ball park was torn down. Property was sold to Lucky Supermarket chain. Gemco department store eventually built their store on site. Prior to the land sale to Lucky Store chain, the property was rented to Joe Sarkees for Motorcycle races until 1964 to help pay taxes on property. The Solons Baseball franchise was sold to an Hawaii investment co.
