Recruitment: finding computer professionals
1981-04
The West Coast Computer Faire was an annual computer industry conference and exposition. The first faire was held in 1977 and was organized by Jim Warren and Bob Relling. At the time, it was the biggest computer show in the world, intended to popularize the personal computer in the homes. The Sixth West Coast Conference took place in San Francisco on April 3-4-5, 1981. This is the recording of the panel titled "Recruitment: Finding computer professionals". The titles of the papers presented are: "Finding and keeping computer professionals during the explosive 1980's" by Michael P. Harkins. "A sign of the times - Recruitment and relocation policy update" by members of the Relocation Center.
