[Northwestern Pacific Excursion / Peralta Park Oakland Acorn]
Contains moving images of a Northern Pacific Excursion train (August 20, 1950), and a family trip to Oakland's Peralta Park (August 27, 1950). The first portion features a Northwestern Pacific rail-fan excursion from San Rafael to Willits, continuing on the California Western to Fort Bragg. Shots include Northwestern Pacific steam engines, California Western Baldwin diesels and doodlebugs M100 AND M200. The second portion include shots of the San Francisco Transbay Terminal, MUNI street cars and buses, and a ride on the miniature steam powered Oakland Acorn of the Oakland Narrow Gauge Railroad inside Peralta Park.
