Contains moving images of an excursion from Sacramento to Isleton. The film starts out at the Southern Pacific Sacramento station and shows the C.P. Huntington on display in front of the depot. The excursion train is shown being readied for the trip, pulled by Southern Pacific locomotive no. 1660. Leaving the Sacramento station, the connecting track is shown for the Walnut Grove Branch. Scenes include the riverfront in route to Isleton, the Mofuba siding station sign, the locomotive turning on the wye at Walnut Grove, the Isleton depot, and passengers partaking in a picnic. The return trip includes shots of the train coming into Sacramento near the crossing of the Sacramento Northern Railway at M Street. Also included are historic scenes of old downtown Sacramento.
