[Gold Spike Centennial Excursion]

Contains scenes taken from an excursion to Promontory Summit, Utah. The first portion features the train at Truckee, California and the festivities there. Then, the film shows the Ogden Union Station with Union Pacific's historic cars and locomotives on display. It also features the "10 Miles of Track" marker near Promontory. Following are scenes of the festivities at Promontory Summit, as well as equipment on display in Ogden, Utah including the Union Pacific steam locomotive no. 8444.
