Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year. Segments include studio guest promoting the La Raza Athletic Association's Chicano basketball league in Oakland; "Zoot Suit Day" at Tennyson High School; studio discussion and call-ins with Don Dominguez of Project Eden about need for Latin cultural center in Hayward; studio guests and call-ins regarding the upcoming End Barrio Warfare Conference; archive footage of lowrider happening in Weeks Park from 1977.
