Allensworth Advisory Committee Meeting, Los Angeles, California
The July 12, 1974, Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park Advisory Committee meeting includes State Parks Commissioner Robinson‚Äôs response to reports produced by the Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park Advisory Committee. Committee members raise objections to plans proposed by consultants which would include the development of recreation areas within the park. The appropriateness of recreational facilities at the site is debated. Committee Chairman Dr. Kenneth Goode speaks to the historical value of the town and recommends any recreation areas be supportive to interpretative functions of the park.
