Warren F. Beck oral history interview

Warren F. Beck was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 12, 1921. He came to California after World War II and worked for a short time for the Evening Outlook newspaper in Santa Monica in 1947, then took a job with the City of Santa Monica in 1948. In 1956, Beck accepted a position with the City of Ontario as the Planning Director, and was tasked with developing the city’s planning department from scratch. Mr. Beck worked for the City of Ontario until 1972 when he retired from the city. After his employment with the city, Mr. Beck went into real estate.
