Description
William M. Sucksdorf was born in Germany in 1869. He left for Iowa at the age of 16, and arrived in Whittier in 1910. He bought 10 acres of navel oranges in East Whittier, and built a large home out of redwood. The home at the time of this interview was owned by interviewee Lois Fleming, who discusses the history of the home and its inhabitants. The home is at 8531 Catalina in Whittier.
