Part 1: Opening of the 22nd annual Santa Clara County Fair (silent) Part 2: African American and Latino residents of San Jose's Eastside neighborhood enter the Soul Shack restaurant for a community meeting with Chief of Police Ray Blackmore regarding arrest on traffic charge of African-American Charles Smith that set off a near-riot in the neighborhood (portions are silent). Part 3: Interview with Police Chief Ray Blackmore Part 4: KNTV reporter on location at William Street in Eastside, to talk to residents about what happened the night before. He interviews a young man who gives an eye-witness account of the traffic arrest that set off the events, including description of the police officer punching Smith in the stomach. Part 5: Possibly an interview with Assemblyman William Stanton; abrupt cut-off.
