Ruth St. Denis (1879-1968) was a pioneer of modern dance. Along with Ted Shawn, her husband, she founded the Denishawn School of Dance. During a session at the studio located at 3433 Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood, St. Denis and Miss Mary Wigman look back on their careers in dance. Wigman reflects on how people and the art of dance survived in Germany during the war and post-war years.
