Description

The only known footage of the State of the Race Conference in Los Angeles, a three-day assembly called by the San Francisco-based Pan-Afrikan Secretariat and held in the heart of the Los Angeles black community. This was the first major national conference to deal with the total range of political, social, cultural and economic questions facing Black people since the Congress of African Peoples in Atlanta, 1970.
