Cancer As A Social Disease

Dr. Lester Breslow contended that social conditions alone were the most important cause of cancer and many other diseases. The acceptance of cigarette smoking lead to lung cancer being the one of the leading cause of death. The highest rate of cancer comes in low income groups and yet they are unlikely to receive proper attention.
