Reel 1:
Segment 1 (sound): Santa Clara County Supervisor Charles Quinn responds to criticism of the "blue ribbon" committee established to evaluate the County's Economic Opportunities Commission, and explains its purpose.
Segment 2 (sound): Sixty year anniversary of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Assistant Chief U.S. Geologist for the Western States, George Gates, is asked about future earthquakes. Pointing to a wall map of the faults, he explains where the faults are, which ones are active, whether we can expect another big one in the future.
Segment 3 (silent): Possible new evidence uncovered during search of area where body of Judy Williamson was found in hills above Santa Cruz. Party from San Mateo Sheriff's Office led by Clarence Maggetti, Deputy Coroner for the county, began combing area near Boulder Creek. Shards of cloth and a bone were found. Shots of men with shovels sliding down steep hill, people sifting dirt for evidence, showing bone to camera.
Reel 2:
Segment 1 (silent): San Jose City Council meeting, in which they decided to see if 15,000 could be found in the budget for the new Housing Authority, to help it establish itself before federal funds become available. Both Ramiro Perez, representing homeowners and renters, and Charles Davidson of the Housing Board are seen speaking to council at the podium. Councilmen Shaffer and Welsch voted against.
Segment 2 (sound): Los Angeles attorney and Republican candidate for Attorney General Jud Leetham interviewed about not yet receiving an endorsement from volunteer groups, says he thinks convincing the electorate is more important than endorsements.
Segment 3 (sound): Santa Clara's Spencer Williams, also candidate for attorney general, who received endorsement of Californian Republican League, says that in all the endorsements, most of the Los Angeles delegates voted for him, so he thinks he has a good chance of carrying Los Angeles.
