Sierra's Deep Snow

This film shows Southern Pacific's efforts to keep Donner Summit open during the winter of 1951-1952. During that same winter the streamlined transcontinental passenger train "City of San Francisco" was stuck in a snowslide with passengers trapped aboard from January 13 to 16, 1952.
