Oral History Interview with JoAnne Alexia Demas Horrell

JoAnne Alexia Demas Horrell is the daughter of Gust J. Demas and Toulas Kerhoulas. Gust moved to the United States from Psari, Greece. Toulas was born in Roseville, California to Greek immigrant parents from the region of Sparta. Gust came to the United States in 1912 when he was 15 years old. His first job was as a water boy for the Southern Pacific. He then became a taxi driver, a proprietor of a bakery, and later a business owner. JoAnne was born in 1939. After she completed high school she married and started a family.
