Part 1 and Part 2: Ellen Cornish and Robert Fisher interview decedents of Whipple family, Mrs. Whipple, Tom Whipple, son of John Whipple II, and another woman (?). They discuss the first Whipples that arrived in 1856 in the area, John Cleveland Whipple and his brother Rufus. They describe life in the are and their relations and farming in the area. Part 3: Ellen Cornish interviews Rose Driscoll. Rose Driscoll who was born in 1881 on a ranch behind Mission Peak. Rose was related to the Geary and Kell families of Mission San Jose and the Sunol area. Rose attended San Jose Normal school and taught at Rosedale school. Rose has many stories about living in the hills. In later years she lived with her Uncle John Geary outside of Milpitas in the hills.
