Forestry Labor Camps, Southern California
1966-04
During the early 1930s, there were forest labor camps of men who built fire roads throughout the state, firebreaks, maintenance, and campground cleanup and creation. Much of what we see today in our California mountains, specifically in high fire areas, were created by these men during this period.
