The mission of the Butte County Library is to serve the learning, cultural, and community needs of the diverse populations of our county.
The Butte County Library’s digital collection at California Revealed consists primarily of audio recordings and still images from 1878 to 2001. Historical photographs document Butte County schools, agriculture, railroads, dams including the Oroville Dam, bridges like the North Fork Bridge, and industries such as the Great Western Power Company and Las Plumas Powerhouse.
