Training film used by California wildland firefighters in similar open terrain and fuels. Designed for fire wardens, rangers or other personnel with responsibility for small crew organization and training. Demonstrations of training sessions for hot-spotting, line strengthening and mop-up are shown on charts and then on actual fire. Accurate depiction of the tools, methods and techniques found to be effective in wildland firefighting prior to the widespread availability of aircraft and other modern tools. Produced by USFS R4.
