Second oral interview (of two) with photographer Henry Gilpin (1922-2011) conducted on August 26, 1999 by Donald R. Anderson. Doris Gilpin, artist and Henry's wife, is also present and comments from time to time. Discussion includes: first attendance at 1959 Ansel Adams Yosemite Workshop
listing the instructors at the Workshop, where Gilpin instructed from 1967-1972
the influence of being an instructor on Gilpin's own photography
time as a Professor at Monterey Peninsula College in police science and photography. Gilpin discusses the Friends of Photography at Carmel's Sunset Center and the organizational changes that moved the organization to San Francisco. He discusses many other California photographers and gives his opinions on the "current" state of photography.
