This is the catalog that was printed during the 1939-1940 Golden Gate International Exposition on Treasure Island in San Francisco, California. The California Nursery Company had an exhibit at Treasure Island that was a replica of the 'Old Adobe' at the nursery in Niles. The CNC introduced the 'Golden State' rose at exposition, the 'Official Rose, Golden Gate International Exposition'. The issue is dedicated to John McLaren, long time supervisor of Golden Gate Park. An insert of the gardens of the Exposition is included. Four generations of the Roeding family knew McLaren. Maurice Logan's painting of the 'Old Adobe' is on the front cover, flipped. , The CNCo, with Robert Pyle, introduced the 'Golden State' rose at exposition, the 'Official Rose, Golden Gate International Exposition'.
