Description
Nisei male, born January 30, 2015 in Seattle, Washington and spent a lifetime in journalism. Prior to WWII he was a newspaper editor in Singapore and Shanghai, returning to the U.S. in November 1941. At age twenty-seven, Bill was evacuated to Puyallup Assembly Center in Washington, then Heart Mountain, Wyoming where he was founder and editor of the Heart Mountain Sentinel. He was editor for the Pacific Citizen since 1942, then relocated to Des Moines, Iowa and Denver, Colorado where he held editorial and correspondent positions. In his retirement between 1985 and 1992, Bill was Ombudsman Columnist for the Rocky Mountain News. He is the author of nine books.
