Original camera footage edited for broadcast for KNTV San Jose Channel 11 news on November 5, 1966. The broadcast script for this date has not survived. Film consists of a Proposition 16 proponent arguing for why voters should vote yes in order to protect children against smut and obscenity. Proposition 16 closes the gap between the Superior Court decisions and current California statutes, it is exactly the kind of obscenity statute that meets free speech criteria and allows for the rights of the accused, but will keep the growing California smut industry out of the hands of teenagers and other vulnerable populations.
