Art in Cinema was an influential, early film exhibition program curated by Frank Stauffacher and presented at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art from 1946 to 1954. It was the first film series presented in California that charted a history of avant-garde and art film. BAMPFA holds unique archival materials on this seminal program.
