Nicholas Johnson interviewed by Paul Kurtz and Betty Chambers in "Humanist Alternative" program. Johnson discusses how to "talk back to your television". He states that he believes that television is actively bad for society, specifically mainstream news programming, substance abuse, and other societal issues. He says America is a nation of television watchers, and that people should know there are other options. He wants people to challenge the television stations. Program on energy consumption and conservation - crisis is beyond the understanding of the majority of people. Offers some potential solutions, if they can be utilized quickly enough.
