Central Pacific Railroad No. 4 "T. D. Judah" was built by Danforth, Cooke & Company and placed into service April 9, 1864. This locomotive may have been sold in 1889 to a company in British Columbia, and scrapped in 1912; The shadow of the photographer and his camera equipment is visible at center.
