Musical score, Arak's = Arax (Chant patriotique armenien) score / Musique de K. Proff-Kalfaian. Originally belonged to Nevart Sahagian Rushdooni, who studied voice under Proff-Kalfayan and later with coloratura soprano Amelita Galli-Curci. Krikor Proff Kalfayan (Armenian: Գրիգոր Քալֆայան, 1873–1949) was an Armenian writer, lecturer, musician, and musicologist. Born in Bursa, Ottoman Empire in 1873, he moved to Constantinople to study at the Getronagan Lyceum, then to Paris, France to attend the Schola Cantorum. In 1907 he was admitted to the Société des auteurs, compositeurs et éditeurs de musique in Paris. Kalfayan moved from France and settled in the United States in 1913, becoming a U.S. citizen in 1922. Kalfayan became a music master of Armenian churches in Worcester, Boston, Lowell and Fresno. He died in Fresno, California in 1949.
