These recordings document readings by Thomas McGrath and Stuart Perkoff. The latter was an important Beat poet and founder of the Venice West Café, a hub of literary activity for the westside L.A. poetry scene. Guy Daniels published novels and poetry, but is most recognized for his translations of Russian texts
the latter he sometimes performed in Los Angeles during the 1950s.
