Description
This episode of Fruit Punch focuses on gay cultural workers. Interviews include the Lavender Star players, an LGBT performing arts collective in San Francisco, as well as the Fruit Punch collective. Toward the end of the show is a news update on Anita Bryant, an outspoken opponent of gay rights, and her 1977 "Save Our Children" campaign to repeal a local ordinance in Dade County, Florida that prohibited discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. Also included in the show is a poetry reading and local public service announcements.
