Description
Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year.
Segments include call-in discussion with Alicia Sepulveda questioning why Latino youth are being used by Hayward City Council to clean up graffiti without a mural in exchange, and why graffiti is an issue of concern when mural defacement is not given the same consideration
