Description
The draft of an address by Los Angeles attorney and civic leader Henry O'Melveny titled "(Anecdotes)" that discusses the development of the railroad systems of Southern California and offers descriptions of Los Angeles in 1869. The address is part of the Adelia Hawkins Papers. Hawkins was secretary to O'Melveny (1859-1941). The collection includes newspaper clippings, photographs, and printed materials related to O'Melveny and his experience in Southern California collected by Hawkins.
