Arnold Anderson was born in 1915 in Vancouver, B.C. and came to Ontario, California in 1918. His father owned and operated movie theaters in the area. Anderson attended San Antonio Elementary, Vina Danks Junior High School, Chaffey High School, and Chaffey College and left Ontario to attend USC. He worked in his father's movie theaters as a boy and young man and after college he returned to the area and opened a real estate business in 1952. Anderson had been a local Lions Club member since 1938 and was a past president/director of the Chaffey College Trust which continues to provides scholarships to local Chaffey College students.
