On March 17, 2001, BAMPFA did a screening of two restored Budd Boeticher films, "Seven Men from Now" and "The Bullfighter and the Lady." The version of Bullfighter was a director's cut that had never been shown before. The screening was preceded by an introduction by Pacific Film Archive director and curator Edith Kramer and UCLA film preservationist Robert Gitt talking about the restoration process. Following the screening, Boetticher disccused the two films, working in Hollywood, and bullfighting. Includes anecdotes about John Wayne and John Ford.
