Description
Black and white and color film with sound showing a public service announcement by Mayor Roger Lapham to encourage people to vote yes on Proposition 1 to buy the Market Street Railway Company in 1944. Film consists of black and white footage of the mayor speaking to an audience mixed with color footage from the film San Francisco Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. Title at end of film reads, in part: "Prepared under direction of the Citizens Committee to get rid of the Market Street Railway". Date is approximate based on mention of date by Mayor Lapham in film.
