Description
The Asian & Pacific Islander Student Union (APSU) was a statewide network of student organizations formed in the 1970s in response to the Bakke vs. UC Regents decision that cut affirmative action programs in the state of California. In addition to their political activism, APSU organized and participated in a number of events to increase awareness and celebration of different Asian Pacific American cultures. This photograph depicts a group of musicians performing on stage together at a Chinese Folk Dance Association event.
