Reel 1:
Segment 1 (silent + sound): Several teenagers petting cattle lined up in a hay-lined enclosure at a dairy farm. Dennis Rowedder interviews the cattle owner in front of the cows, with a large sign hanging from the ceiling with a B in the middle [the name of the ranch is not legible]. "Dennis, we have started something this year we haven't tried before, and this is, we're turning our cattle head out rather than tail out, which we have always had before. We think that this will be good, and that -- we're trying, of course, at all times, to keep the public in mind, and bring the public out so that they can see more of this livestock, and the way we think we can do this of course is by making it different and more interesting, and we think by turning the animals out this way, the aisles will be much cleaner and of course the animals will be better displayed, so the general public know and see more animals, and see the more personable end of the animal." Reporter: "The more personable or the more interesting?" "Well, I think from the public's point of view, the more personable end. If they were judging livestock, of course, they would probably look at the other end, but the general public would probably rather see the head of the cow rather than the tail."
Segment 2 (silent): Small meeting in chambers; a man in a bowtie with glasses is speaking at one end of the table while the others listen. One of the nametags lists attendee as Airport Commissioner. This is likely a hearing related to the airplane crash on August 4th.
Reel 2:
Segment 1 (silent): Stanford University campus. Banner posted in ground reading "International Days of Protest 48 hr Vigil / Faculty - Staff Comm. / SCPV". A student is handing out leaflets to people passing by. A small table with sign, "Stanford Comm. for Peace in Vietnam" has stack of Napalm Newsletters on top.
Segment 2 (silent): Coastal path on a steep bluff above the Pacific Ocean. Nudist beach below, with many shots of people sitting, playing games, smoking, running into the ocean. Clothed people walk carefully down the path. Shot of parking lot with many cars.
Segment 3 (silent): San Jose City Council in small meeting room. Possibly related to the family life education proposal.
Reel 3:
Segment 1 (silent): San Jose City Council hearing on recent airplane crash, with man in bow tie at podium, very few people in the audience. Cut to investigators on site of plane crash on August 4th. Cut back to City Council hearing.
Segment 2 (sound): Interview. "Well, this is their prerogative. However, if they do, they must understand the consequences of what will happen if they do sue for libel." Reporter: "What would the consequences be, for example?" "This information would be allowed to be introduced as evidence in the court, and it would be verified, and this would open the door for other types of information to be introduced other than what we presented." Reporter: "Sam, who paid you to do the job? The word is out that there is a Republican Party tinge to this investigation. Did anybody pay you for this investigation?" "No, definitely not." Reporter: "You took no money at all to do this work?" "No, but if someone would like to reimburse us for it, we'd be more than happy to cooperate with them."
