User Advisory
Due to the fragility and construction of the original object, fold-outs have been captured once (as-is) to replicate the viewing experience, and once again with content unfolded to expose the artifactual significance. Handwritten source notes for individual articles or pages, in which the material was already folded, have also been captured. Please contact Palos Verdes Library District for more information about a specific page, article, or text.

Includes clippings from numerous newspapers primarily from the Southern California area, and a handful of local and national magazines. Clippings pertain to the progress made on the development including road construction, buildings, architecture, staffing, installation of utilities, landscaping and zoning but also include broader coverage of the growth and development of San Pedro, Long Beach and the general Los Angeles area. Clippings are dated and arranged chronologically and include the name of the paper from which the article was clipped.
