The Pasadena Public Library collection contains text materials from the late 1800s through the 1940s. The collection consists of Tournament of Roses Parade programs and pictorials that document the history of the Rose Parade as well as a few illustrated souvenir books that highlight Pasadena’s beauty and charm to tourists. These books include many images of Pasadena landmarks, public and commercial buildings, and private residences. The materials in this collection help document particular periods in Pasadena’s rich history and overall contribute to a better understanding of the history of California and its people.
