The Velaslavasay Panorama collection contains text material, printed brochures and images related to the museum’s establishment in the early 2000s. From 2000-2004 the Velaslavasay Panorama was located at the Tswuun-Tswuun Rotunda Hollywood Boulevard and later relocated to the Union Theatre in West Adams. The collection consists mostly of photographs depicting the events, exhibits and gardens at the Velaslavasay Panorama site as well as behind-the-scenes documentation of panoramic exhibitions in progress and other projects.
The Visual Communications Archives collection contains audiovisual material (moving images and audio) from the 1930s to 1990s. A majority of the collection contains filmed footage and recorded oral interviews with Asian Pacific American communities in California. Subjects include Korea Town during the Los Angeles Riots and filmed footage of Chinatown during the 1970s in San Francisco, California.
