The Los Angeles Valley College Historical Museum collection contains images, texts, and audiovisual material (moving images and audio) from the 1900s to 2000s. A majority of the collection contains recorded oral histories, written transcripts, and images concerning local history of the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County, California and its residents.
The University of California, Berkley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive collection contains text and audiovisual material (moving images and audio) from the 1910s to 2010s. A majority of the collection consists of filmed footage and text documenting life in Berkeley and the surrounding San Francisco Bay Area. Subjects include 1960s counterculture, the Black Panthers, Harvey Milk, cultural communities, and the independent film industry.
