LA County Library Digital Collections contain images, documents, and audiovisual materials that document the history and culture of Los Angeles County. The Library digitizes rare and unique materials from its own collections, partners with other County departments to provide access to Los Angeles County materials of historical interest, and collaborates with the communities it serves to create local history materials that reflect the historical experiences of Los Angeles County residents.
The LA County Library's digital collection at California Revealed consists of texts, still images, moving images, and audio recordings from the 1890s to the present day. The collection includes hundreds of photographs documenting family and civic life in Los Angeles County throughout the twentieth century, as well as several historical documentary films related to subjects such as Mexican-American youth and Black artists.
